Culture Shock Events Unveils 2010 Event Planning
Culture Shock Events is planning its busiest year yet with a number of small intimate convention events, an expansion of the Armageddon Expo brand and some new partnerships formed.
With OzTrek2 finalised and Sir Patrick Stewart having been a wonderful guest its time to begin work on our next series of events.
On the intimate convention front we move towards our next OzTrek 3 event in August. Again high profile Star Trek guests feature as we present the Imzadi tour with none other than Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis. Tickets went on sale for this event on February1 however there are still a couple of VIP tickets available.
Our Armageddon brand makes itself known in Sydney next month with a one day Armageddon Celebrity Fair being held at the Sydney Town Hall on Sunday March 21. This is not the huge full blown Armageddon that has rocked Melbourne for 3 years but a taste of things to come. It features aspects of all of Armageddon's feature areas (except wrestling) and promises to be a great family day out. Tickets are on sale now at the Culture Shock site and a reminder that pre purchase gets you in a whole hour early. Armageddon comes back to Melbourne for our 4th Expo event that promises to be bigger and better than any before it. Last year saw the Melbourne event expand into a third bay of the MCEC qand this year we plan to pack it even more full of Armageddon activity.
Culture Shock has been proud to have worked so very closely in recent years and this year with First Contact Conventions in Melbourne. Scotty Liston has been amazing in securing such wonderful guests as Patrick Stewart and we look forward to working together even more with Scotty. We are also extremely pleased to have now also become part of a partnership arrangement with HUB Productions. HUB has been able to run some absolutely amazing events all over the country, none bigger than the upcoming March Stargate event. Having been friends with Carissa and Rand for many years we all agreed it was time to begin working together on some of our future events. I eagerly await our first joint venture in December this year when an old friend, Amanda Tapping, returns to pay us a visit.
As FSF members you get the benefit of great ticket discounts for all general tickets at Culture Shock Events' Sydney Conventions. As the Armageddon Expo's are already cheap as chips you get first option to purchase exclusive tickets for the expos in all states.
2011 will be just as hectic as this year as we expand the Armageddon brand even further to bring earth shattering events to both Sydney and Adelaide early in the year. Carissa and Rand from HUB come on board with Bill and Adele (Armageddon), Scotty and Diana (First Contact) and Rob and Robbie (Culture Shock) to bring these new Armageddon events to life. Starting to sound like the Justice League of Convention organisers.
